Our Roots back to Provence
Every business start with an initial inspiration. Chateau de Luz was build on Sandra's childhood spent in Provence in a small village called Bargemon. Her mom's family's have been living there for more than 3 centuries, and still does to this day.
" We always have had olive trees, which is very common when you live in the country side of Provence. Families will gather during November and December to harvest the olives and bring them to Le Moulin - the village's mill. Around Christmas, each family will get their large jug of extra virgin olive oil that will last them the all year."
As a child, Sandra has participated many times to the harvest under the direction of her dear grand parents: Irene and Alfred. "They always have been such a strong inspiration for me: my grand mother being a smart business woman, and my grand father, the sweetest farmer you'll ever met."
This is a picture of Sandra's grandparents taken in 1939 just before WWII started.
"I really feel their hands and love over me every single day. I am so blessed to have had such beautiful memories with them, and in my way, carrying the tradition in another part of the world that resembles a lot my native Provence."
